Olivier Saint-Gelais Born in 1978 in Chicoutimi (Qc, Canada), lives and works in Montréal Move to Montreal at 18 fto studied cinéma and graphism. In my late 20’s I began oil and acrylic paintings. I’m practiced too woodcut eatching, intaglio and watercolor. I'm Concordia university gradued. I did some exhibitions at university and culture house in Montreal and surround. My favorites painters are Claude Monet, Pierre Bonnard, Edvard Munch and Peter Doig. I’m influenced by the cinema and popular graphic imagerie. If I have to describe my approach that will be like I’m try to mix classical vision and skills and a kind of artistic tradition with modern and popular art. For me art is connected with memory and time.
