Chris Simonite is an artist from the frozen wasteland of Winnipeg, Canada where his brain froze at an early age. Legend has it that this frozen brain compels him to spend most of his time making paintings (and occasionally animations/videos) based on pop culture, conspiracy theories and other things that lie at the murky edges. He is the founder of the Cubo-Weirdism movement (currently a movement of one) and of late he dedicates most of his time to creating weird and wonderful portraits based on that concept. He has a BA, a BFA, and an MFA, and has shown his art in four countries on Earth. He is also a member of the legendary (in their own minds) Frost Shield Kerfuffle Collective. Chris Simonite has a musical/comedy/performance art alter ego, a faux Cowpunk Star called Stan Dickie, who was the subject of his MFA thesis.
