Artist Residency with RAFA, Oct 2022
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada
I have been selected to do an art residency with RAFA in Saskatoon, during which I will create work (s) related to the experience of going through the pandemic and have my work on exhibit at the end of the studio days. I have already created several pieces associated with the subject of the pandemic and how that has changed or impacted people; at this stage in the post-pandemic era, I am inspired mainly by open spaces, and I am not 100% sure yet how that has to do with the pandemic. Still, I am more than excited to explore that during the residency. There will be other artists and mentors who have been in the art business for years. I am hoping that this residency will give me the motivation to start something up again and re-build myself.

Exposition miniature is a group exhibit of mini paintings by contemporary French artists from Alberta. I was raised and grew up in Montreal Quebec and at home I speak both French and English. I wanted to exhibit my works with other French speaking community of Alberta during the celebration of La Francophonie. I have exhibited a series of birds and plants as these have kept me company during the Pandemic, these last 2 years. I really hope you can get a chance to see the beautiful works on exhibit if you live near by. The gallery hosts in both official languages and offers a selected French ambience if you miss being surrounded by your French roots.
A Group exhibit with amazing art and wood work. Open from September till November. I have 3 of my paintings on exhibit, all three were selected by the Curator at the gallery to fit into their ambiance that expresses diversity in culture. The exhibit consists of paintings from local artists with a diverse back ground. You can view paintings of polish heroes, wooden hand crafted furniture and art made with local wood, and my paintings which are created with self expression and imagination inspired by my life and relationships. I would love to invite you to visit the pieces, if interested please feel free to contact me anytime. The idea is to demonstrate the powerful art found in a local culture.
