Browse Bidgala’s marketplace & find something you’re coveting. You then have 2 options:
Most of our clientele, partners, and charities are based in the US. However, rest assured that all Canadian prices have been converted to USD using the appropriate conversion rate and that we will not charge you more than you should have been charged when a piece was in CAD.
For example, pieces that were listed at $100 CAD will show up as $70 USD on our website.
Check your “orders” page for information on all of your past and current orders. Or check your chats with each artist to access the same information.
Bidgala is the best art platform to purchase art from due to:
One major issue with the art world is that patrons have limited access to student and emerging artists. Therefore, art lovers are faced with choosing between pricey original artworks and cheap carbon-copy prints.
But what about affordable, original art? Bidgala gives you 24/7 access to student and emerging artists who offer affordable prices for their original art. Find art you will love.
One big problem with the art world today is that it is inaccessible. Not only do other websites and galleries make their prices extremely high, but they restrict most artists from joining. Moreover, artists are not trained in business so many have a difficult time selling on other platforms they have access to such as Instagram or Etsy.
Bidgala is for emerging artists looking to expand their careers. Therefore, with each purchase, you are helping artists support themselves and develop professionally.
Bidgala enables you to connect with artists to make each piece more meaningful. Follow artists for updates on their work, ask questions through direct chat, read artists’ stories via their profile page, and create meaningful connections on Bidgala.
At your next dinner party, you will be able to tell your friends everything from the artist's background, to the deep conversation you had with them.
You are protected by Bidgala’s 100% money-back guarantee. If your order arrives damaged or is different than advertised, you have seven (7) days upon receipt of the order to request a full (100%) refund on the purchase price and shipping. You then have five (5) days upon Bidgala’s approval of your return to ship the art back to the artist and submit a tracking number. If the artwork is lost then you have seven (7) days after the expected delivery date to request a refund.
Please contact us at info@bidgala.com if you would like a refund and our team will help to accommodate you.
We are sorry that you received your order damaged. Do not worry, all orders have a 100% money-back guarantee.
If you receive your order and it is damaged or different from advertised, please message the seller ASAP, as they may be able to fix or replace the order. You can find the seller’s account by going into your orders page and then clicking on their name or in your messages.
You should also email us at info@bidgala.com. Please make sure to also submit photos of the artwork you are returning.
You will have 7 days from the receipt of your shipment to request a full (100%) refund on the purchase price and shipping. You will then have 7 days from our approval of your return to submit a tracking number for your shipment back to the artist.
We are sorry that you are experiencing a potentially lost order. Do not worry, lost artwork qualifies for the 100% money-back guarantee.
If you buy artwork and think it might be lost, kindly make sure to:
All orders are packaged and shipped by the individual artists you order from.
An artist must accept the order within a max of 5 business days from receiving your order. The artist then has 5 business days from accepting your order to ship the artwork and submit a tracking number. If either of these deadlines are not met by the artist, your order will automatically be canceled and you will never be charged.
You can find your order’s tracking number in the orders page or in your chat with the artist. Click on the tracking number for your order’s ETA.
Because artworks are shipped directly from artist to buyer, the length of the delivery period will vary. Tracking numbers will be submitted to you by the artists to the buyers once the item is shipped so that you can check your order’s ETA at any time.
You can find your order’s tracking number in the orders page or in your chat with the artist. Click on the tracking number for your order’s ETA.
You will not be charged until the artist sends you a tracking number. The artist has a maximum of 5 business days to send you a tracking number after accepting the order.
Example: if the artist accepts your order but does not send you a tracking number, you will not be charged.
Depending on the listing, the art you order may or may not be framed. Make sure to read the descriptions of artworks carefully before ordering and message the artist with any questions you have beforehand. You can also message the artist to confirm.
Because artworks are shipped directly from independent artists to art-lovers, whether or not something can be shipped to a certain region depends on each artist and their listing.
When you find a piece you’re coveting, make sure to check which countries they ship to. You can also search for artwork based on regions the artists ship to.
Since each artist can select which countries they ship to, they may or may not ship to your region. Your best bet is to send them a message explaining where you are located and that you want to buy their work. Ask if they can make an exception for you and create a new listing for the piece.
You may be required to pay taxes and duties to claim the work that you order, depending on where the artist ships from and where you are located. Since Bidgala is a global community, we have no way of calculating taxes and duties for every location. Therefore, please contact your customs bureau for specific information. Normally, extra taxes and duties only apply to artworks you purchase from outside your country.
Bidgala is the best art platform to sell your art on because of our:
Anyone can sell their art on Bidgala. However, you must meet our legal requirements outlined in the Terms of Service (e.g. 18 years old+).
Sign up to Stripe via your settings page.
To initiate your payment when you sell your art, follow these 4 steps:
You will be paid by buyers via Stripe, therefore, you cannot accept orders until you have connected a Stripe account to your Bidgala settings (step 1). You can sign up to stripe via your settings page.
Once you accept the order (step 2), ship your art (step 3), and then submit the tracking number (step 4), your funds will be released into your Stripe account.
Stripe is similar to Paypal, and depending on your location and payout schedule, funds from your sales will be paid out to your bank account, from your Stripe account, on a rolling basis. So you may be able to see “future” payouts in your Stripe balance, but the money will not be in your bank yet. This is because it hasn't reached the payout date, which Bidgala estimates at two to three weeks.
Email us at info@bidgala.com for any questions about Stripe.
We use Stripe to pay you when you sell your art. They help to transfer money from an art buyer’s credit card to an artist’s bank account.
Stipe is a payment processing company similar to Paypal and we use them because their Fraud detection system is the best in the game. They are also a reputable company that buyers are comfortable using which helps to increase art sales. Stripe also has very competitive transaction fees, is easy to use, accepts a variety of cards/payment methods, and has excellent customer support. You can sign up to stripe through your Bidgala settings.
Email us at info@bidgala.com for any questions about Stripe.
We provide Stripe as a payment processor for our artists to help lower transaction costs for them. Stripe is known as one of the most reliable and affordable payment processors, used by companies such as: Shopify, Wayfair, Google, Peloton, Instacart, Amazon, Notion and Figma.
Our platform supports the sale of physical goods such as paintings, prints, illustrations, photography, sculptures and more.
Bidgala does not currently sell digital art. However, we do support the sale of prints.
We have many channels through which we help find you clients including:
We may offer some users discounts on the purchase price to help increase your sales. But do not worry! We pay for discounts out of our own pocket to help get you sales.
The total transaction price may be lower but Bidgala makes sure that the profit you receive in the end is the same.
Sign in, and then:
Your profile outlines your story and listings in a very unique way that resonates with a lot more people. Our payment processors also help increase buyer comfort and therefore your number of sales.
There are zero membership fees at Bidgala and it is free to post your art. Here is how our commission works:
Keep in mind that you choose your prices and can adjust them upwards to get what you want in the end. For example, if the price of your art is $1550 and you charge $100 for shipping, you will end up with $1106.85 in your Stripe account.
We know that it may sound bizarre to take commission on shipping. However, we think you’ll understand once you hear our reasoning. Bidgala’s commission used to be 35% with zero commission on shipping. However, many users were charging their entire art prices in the shipping section and putting $0 in the price column to avoid commissions. Therefore, we lowered the commission to 30% on the total transaction to account for this issue.
Learn more about How To Ship Your Artwork.
Tip: To help prevent buyers from returning an artwork, make sure to let the buyer know when you plan on shipping the package. Give yourself an extra day or two. For example, if you plan on shipping the art within 2 days, tell the customer it will be shipped out within 3 or 4 days for ultimate customer satisfaction.
Yes, you can! We do not reserve the rights to our sellers’ works, and signing up to our website is not binding in any way.
Art buyers can either purchase your artwork straight away at the asking price, or they can make you an offer. If they make you an offer, you will get an email with further instructions. You can either accept the offer, reject the offer, or make a counter-offer.
Should you make a counter-offer, the buyer will need to either accept the offer, reject the offer, or make a counter-offer. This process is repeated until an offer is accepted or rejected. You can access your offers and orders through your orders page.
We will notify you by email with further instructions, you can check your orders page or Your messages.
Once an art piece is purchased, you will receive the buyer’s address and are responsible for shipping it out yourself. You should also submit pictures of the packaging (inside, outside, and your personal touch) and must submit a tracking ID once the order is shipped.
Contact us at any time for questions about shipping your art: info@bidgala.com.
Learn more about How to package your art.
A customer may request a refund if the artwork arrives damaged, different from advertised, or if it is lost. To request a refund, your client must be eligible for the 100% money-back guarantee.
As long as you followed Bidgala’s guidelines for shipping and packaging your art, Bidgala will cover all of the transportation costs for returns, as well as for original shipping fees in accordance with our Terms of Service. However, you will be responsible for returning the price a buyer paid for the artwork.
To be eligible for Bidgala to pay you back for shipping costs if a client returns a piece, you must submit receipts for all shipping costs to info@bidgala.com.
If a buyer returns an artwork, the full transaction amount may be deducted from your Stripe account. Bidgala will refund you the commission, original shipping costs, as well as additional costs for returns that you may incur, if you followed the guidelines for shipping and packaging your art, in accordance with our Terms of Service.
If we determine that the information or pictures in your listing were misleading, inaccurate or not truthful, then you may be responsible for returning the purchase price of the artwork, paying the shipping all costs, paying Stripe any applicable fees, paying Bidgala our transaction fees, and any other applicable fees.
Make sure to provide excellent customer service and accommodate requests for returns. If a customer files a dispute with their bank, Bidgala may no longer be able to help resolve the issue. The bank may request that our payment processor, Stripe, deal with the situation. If this happens, please contact us at info@bidgala.com and we will refund you our commission if you are eligible.
Check the countries supported by Stripe here: https://stripe.com/global. If your country is not yet supported then you are not eligible to sell on Bidgala until it is.
