This 23 centimeters diameter spherical sculpture has a flat bottom. It is plastered, painted, glittered and varnished. The colors in shades of blue, from deep midnight blue to turquoise blue embellished with glitters and gold leaf shards, are reminiscent of the Lapis Lazuli stone. The irregular round shape refers to the shape of the planets and to the term "baroque" (barocco which means irregular pearl). Shadows and light, natural and artificial, round shapereminiscent of the quest for perfection but also feminity , allow to apprehend this sculpture beyond its purely formal aspect. "Shère N°3 Gold and Lapis Blue" is part of the Constellation Collection.
