This painting depicts a Mayan god running aimlessly trying to escape an unseen foe. In this work I wanted to work strictly with layering, not so much detail in an attempt to create a baseless world, a house of cards. The unseen force in the real world, as I see it, is the chemistry or algorithm that runs the show and how we are altering it. Do we really get a say in it, is it possible for us to change enough to alter the imbalances that we have surreptitiously created.
