This is a colour study for my new Flower series. The painting is built up in many layers and mainly worked in spatula technique. The intended effect is created by various washes and scratches. I usually test this on this stonepaper, a chlorine-free, chemical-free paper made from 80% rock flour, before I paint it on canvas. These small but very expressive paintings are perfect to be framed with a passe-partout and hung alone or in small groups. The picture is suitable for conventional picture frames or also for magnetic poster hangers.
