This painting was created using soft pastels on primed 300gsm paper. I discovered soft pastels about 5 years ago and fell in love with them. Pastels walk this delicate line between a drawing and painting, plus there's a a vibrancy and dreamy softness you only get with pastels. My paintings explore emotions, solitude and stories of growth, often with with a touch of surrealism.
