The covid crisis revealed to us just how important art is for society; but where do artists find inspiration during such times, if not from the arts? Metaphysical Love is inspired by the poem "Luceafarul" (The Evening Star) by the Romanian poet Mihai Eminescu. As Teo tried to cope with the social distancing, she started working on "The Evening Star" Series, a combination of ludic abstract and symbols of primordial elements: the water, the stars, the sky. The result is the maximalism that characterizes her body of work. The romance between the two: Catalina and Hyperion is very actual in the covid distancing context, as the love between the two is mental, transcending the body. Metaphysical Love is an artpiece for contemplation upon abstract concepts, such as identity and space.
