This painting reminds me a lot of the street art in Asia. When I first started this painting, I had in mind the quote "There's nothing new under the sun." My interpretation of this quote in my practice is that there is nothing new, nothing "original". All new ideas are links created between two ideas that already existed. Creativity is the power of creating links with what already exists. I saw this piece like a result, an outcome of what I learned in the past years. I mixed some techniques, I used paintings knives and brushes, I created relief and played with the contrast and the force of the colors.
