Description

In the early 1900’s when these villas were built it was common for builders to buy two lots in one street and build similar homes. These were the first homes built in the new suburb of Grafton which was close to the hospital on he outskirts of the CBD. The columns give it an Eastern flavour and it sits proudly in a street of similar era homes - some restored by owners and some rented to hospital staff. Taken from a walk I took after 4 weeks of lockdown in April 2020. Acrylic on canvas ready to hang.
