I started with an abstract underpainting here and I let the shapes dictate the direction of the composition. I had taken some photos of my mothers peonies and the pinks and greens gave me the excitement I needed to let loose with palette knives and large brushes to create the thick luscious textures.I can't tell you what an amazing feeling it is to watch these colours and brush strokes come together so magically. The result is lighthearted and joyful.This painting is framed and ready to hang.
