I painted this seascape after a summer visit to my aunt's in Pacifica, California. "It was a beautiful afternoon and we strolled along the beach where the gulls were everywhere. "The wind was blowing hard and there was a chill in the air. I wanted to catch the feeling of joy we get from nature, and a sense of wild freedom in this landscape."
